About

This collection is simply - and unashamedly - meant to be enjoyable! The term ‘Light’ implies that the music is not serious, but equally it is far from frivolous because it features delightful melodies by some of the finest composers of the last century.

Names such as Leroy Anderson, Cyril Watters, Angela Morley, Clive Richardson and Laurie Johnson are evidence of the pedigree of the composers. And the presence of conductors like Clebanoff, Sidney Torch, David Rose, Robert Farnon, Frank Cordell, Glenn Osser, Cyril Stapleton and Henry Mancini confirms that the music is performed by the world’s top light orchestras.

The bright ‘Light’ pieces early on gradually give way to the smooth, ‘Easy’ sounds to be discovered later in the collection.
