ArtistsEnsemble Cantus Figuratus
In an album made in 2000, supported by the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and released originally on the German Christophorus label, Dominique Vellard directed the Ensemble Cantus Figuratus in a four-part Mass by Pedro Escobar (commercially baptised as Missa in Granada) in a performance employing voices and instruments, which allows us to appreciate in all its splendour the talent of this Portuguese-born composer who was active principally in Spain.
Includes Plainchant from Officium Virginis Marie in sabbatis (Granada, 1507).
