About

The Infernal Comedy is a personality profile of a serial killer. The role is a perfect fit for Hollywood actor and superstar John Malkovich.

The musical adaption for theatre is the story of a psychopath, a theatre play for a baroque orchestra, two sopranos and one actor, based on the true life story of the murderer Jack Unterweger. Unterweger, an acknowledged prison poet, genius author and journalist, notorious womanizer and prime example of a successful social rehabilitation, was gradually conveyed guilty in a series of murders to prostitutes in Vienna, Graz, Prague and Los Angeles.

Melodramatic and instrumental music from Gluck and Boccherini lays foundation to the protagonist’s words, while the Orchestra Wiener Akademie is conducted by Martin Haselböck.

Musical Concept: Martin Haselbock, with music by Vivaldi, Gluck, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Boccherini and Weber.
