About

'Yellow Stars', a moving work for orchestra by Russian composer Issac Schwartz, was written in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.

Vladimir Spivakov, to whom this score is dedicated, conducts the Orchestra National Philharmonic of Russia.

Renowned filmmaker Joan Grossman has designed a visual realisation of “Yellow Stars” for it – images and texts from the time of the Holocaust, diaries and rare film footage from Polish ghettos.

Recorded at Svetlanov’s Hall, Moscow, May 2004.
