About

Robert Hugill has established a reputation as a fine composer of sacred music, contemporary yet totally accessible and tonal. His extended works The Testament of Dr Cranmer, based on the speech given by Cranmer just before being burnt to death – sung in English and Latin - and What is Man? (for tenor and string orchestra), are joined by several shorter liturgical pieces all demonstrating his distinctive style. Hugill’s work is performed regularly throughout the UK.

Christopher Watson (tenor) is a member of Tenebrae, Polyphony, The Sixteen and The Tallis Scholars to name but a few. Paul Ayres (organ) has given many recitals both in the UK and overseas. He is also a composer and arranger.

Eight:Fifteen Vocal Ensemble
was formed by Robert Hugill in 2005 as a complement to his amateur choir FifteenB. The Cranmer work was written specifically for them. Strings of the Chameleon Arts Orchestra are led by Simon Baggs. They specialise in the accompaniment of choral repertoire.
