About

This fifth release from the innovative Densité 21 collection brings you a world première recording from young acclaimed composer Guillaume Connesson

Athanor is a large and powerful fresco, based on Middle Age Mysteries; a lyric, rhyming, musical universe.  Supernova can claim two sources for its inspiration: the 1926 Kandinsky painting Quelques Cercles and the Book A Brief History of Time by astro-physicist Stephen Hawking.

Once again we are privileged to hear these benchmark recordings by the Orchestre National de France conducted by Jonathan Darlington and Muhai Tang.
