About

The two live recordings from 2003 document two leading Bach interpreters of our time: Philippe Herreweghe and Ton Koopman. Coming from the school and environment of the legendary Gustav Leonhardt, both artists and their ensembles have had a lasting influence on today's performance tradition of Bach's music.

These live recordings are complemented by the world-premiere recording of the Sixth Brandenburg Concerto on period instruments from the Bach Year 1950, in which important pioneers such as Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Gustav Leonhardt and Eduard Melkus participated.
