The combination of guitar and cello not only offers a fertile soil for contemporary composers, but also makes a kind of symbiosis possible, an interesting path to having a real dialogue, thus generational peers Giorgio Mirto and Mathias Duplessy complement each other.

So there is room for an in-depth conversation, in light blue or other coloured atmospheres, as a stepping stone to self-discovery. The start of a lively journey that, in the words of Nathan Kolosko, is documented through his musical creations. An expedition where the destination is never a place, but a way to make new music.

It’s in this kind of pioneering work that the Edenwood Duo finds its principal calling. Through commissions and creations, Catherine Struys (cello) and Wouter Vercruysse (guitar) give an active and original impetus to the most fragile and therefore probably most beautiful of the arts.
