Stockholm Saxophone Quartet
The first piece is like a dialogue between violins. Again it is fascinating to say the least to be in the middle of the stereo room. A most intruiging start. Well worth having as ballet. The second work on this CD is sad and lamenting, based on Karl Wolfskehl’s poem from 1934. Enjoy the most impressive articulation from Christina Högman. Rite now, is a completely different kind of piece. It is truly remarkable work sounding as it comes from immemorial times, with its persistent percussion, while the next piece is more soothing, with the phenomenal Stockholm Saxophone Quartet. The last track is called Night Music, slightly expectant in feeling. A most varied modern CD! Well worth investigating.
