This 10 CD box set has been produced to celebrate the life of Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (2015 marks 175 years since he was born in 1840). It includes his best-loved ballets in complete recordings - Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker and Swan Lake.

Also included is the complete recordings of the operas Eugen Onegin and The Enchantress, with stars of the Russian opera scene - Galina Vishnevskaya, Sergei Lemeshev, Eugeni Byelov and others.

Also featured are stars of the rostrum and first-class orchestras, such as Antal Dorati, Ernest Ansermet, Boris Khaikin, Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, L'Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and others.

They are all original albums from the 1950s, complete with reproductions of the gorgeous original covers.
