ArtistsHansjorg Albrecht (organ)
Hansjörg Albrecht has selected the organ version of the Rákóczi March as the opening of his new SACD in our Organ Transcription Series. More or less an overture, he makes a virtuoso piece out of it – a veritable display of fireworks in the style of Vladimir Horowitz and Franz Liszt (who wrote the piano transcription of the Symphonie fantastique).
Combined here with the Symphonie fantastique, the Berlioz series on SACD is now complete.
Recorded at the Lucerne Cultural and Congress Centre, Switzerland.
