Ariadne DaskalakisAbout
A while ago, Tacet introduced the unusual CD '7 with One Stroke' by the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra: 7 concertos by Antonio Vivaldi - with each member of the orchestra playing a solo.
Now the Blu-ray disc with the same content is on the market. The multi-channel version applies the concept of equality of all players in an original way. You're really in for a surprise! The Blu-ray Disc (stereo and Tacet Real Surround Sound) was fantastically well received at the 2014 High End Fair in Munich.
We invited Ariadne Daskalakis, the (guest) concertmistress of the ensemble, and asked her to describe the most important impressions, from her viewpoint, when hearing the multi-channel version for the first time. She named three things: she could hear herself better than ever before on a recording, she detected far more interaction between the musicians and she was able to recognise all the details of the score. Three musical observations by an outstanding artist of a musical phenomenon - Real Surround Sound.
