Intensive studies of the autographs of works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, available at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, have influenced the Vienna-born violinist Daniel Auner in his interpretation of Mozartís chamber music. You can see the results in the Violin Sonatas recorded here.
In conjunction with the pianist Robin Green, who is also a successful conductor, Auner's research-based performance has resulted in a recording focusing on dialogue: the dialogue between the musicians and the dialogue with Mozart.
Daniel Auner was born in Vienna in 1987 and studied at the University of Music in his home town and with Igor Ozim at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Master classes with Friedemann Eichhorn, Midori Goto and Rainer Kussmaul have supplemented his training. Daniel Auner is a prize-winner at different violin competitions and has extensive concert experience in Austria and abroad. As a soloist, he has already toured many European countries, the USA, South America, South Africa and Asia.
