“I haven’t done an honest day’s work in my entire life. All I’ve done is played” - these were the words of pianist, organist and orchestra leader Kjell Öhman in response to receiving the newly created award “Studioräven” (studio fox) in early spring 2013. He certainly is a studio fox, participating in over 8000 recordings.

At an early age Kjell Öhman was recognised as a musical prodigy. He started playing piano at the age of nine and he has never looked back, excelling at both playing and conducting. His success lies in the fact that he is a humble musician, allowing his other players to shine through whilst guiding them with his incredible playing and incomparable ability to work in an ensemble.
