About

Raoul von Koczalski (1884-1948) was a Polish pianist who studied with Chopin’s pupil, Karol Mikuli, and became an acclaimed Chopin interpreter in the first half of the 20th century. He played in a cantabile style with a lovely singing tone but also with a 19th century rubato.

Dance rhythms definitely dance!

Broadcast recordings from German Radio, 1945 and 1948.
