'It Is Time' marks So Percussion’s sixth album release with Cantaloupe, and includes a DVD of performance with video images related to the works.

So Percussion is currently performing throughout the US and around the world. Their most recent album, Threads, was listed in the Top 25 Best Albums of the Year (so far) by NPR’s Deceptive Cadence blog.

Aside from being a genre-defying composer, Steve Mackey is also a rock guitarist and composition professor at Princeton University. He was recently nominated for four Grammy’s for his work entitled Steve Mackey: Dreamhouse.

'It Is Time' was co-commissioned by Carnegie Hall and Chamber Music America. It was premiered at Zankel Hall, Carnegie Hall, New York City, March 25, 2010.
