Brilliant Classics primarily specialise in licensing great recordings from well-known labels. Their range of ’complete’ boxsets is especially impressive, but the smaller sets also contain some real gems and allow for budget exploration of unusual repertoire alongside more mainstream items. None of the artists are second-rate and include the likes of Rudolf Kempe, Nikolai Lugansky, Mariss Jansons, Andre Previn, Soile Isokoski, Rudolf Barshai and Neeme Jarvi. It is a catalogue well worth exploring!
