About

Émile Jaques-Dalcroze, who died in 1950 at the age of 85, was a Swiss musician and music educator who developed eurhythmics, a method of learning and experiencing music through movement, and although his system has become world-famous, his own original compositions are less well-known.

This outstanding new recording couples his two Violin Concertos, beautiful works which show his mastery of the craft, in fine new performances recently made in Moscow by one of the most gifted of all young Russian violinists today and given excellent support from the Moscow Symphony Orchestra under its highly respected conductor.

The recording quality is also very good indeed, and this CD will come as a revelation to many for the quality of the music and the commitedness of the performances.
