About

Sergiu Celibidache, one of the most polarizing conductors of the postwar period, here conducts the Berlin and London Philharmonic Orchestras. The attitude of Celibidache concerning music and the interpretation of was no secret - he hated the word interpretation in connection with music because he didn´t interpret, and was no big fan of selling records. He had a philosophic description for that attitude: music is not like tinned food which you can hold on to for a long time, it lives in the moment of genesis. This box contains his big moments and is unmissable for fans or Celibidache, or indeed for any fan of orchestral music.
