The Concerto d'Amour, founded in 2010 by Jean-Pierre and Marie Nouhaud as well as Philippe Foulon, has for several years been conducting a musicological and organological research on the reconstruction of Baroque instruments: sympathetic string instruments (instruments d’amour).

This album, "The Phoenix", shows the rebirth of these very rare instruments through pieces of emblematic composers of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, French and Italian. Moreover, Corrette, Barrière, Vivaldi, Corelli ... were themselves virtuoso interpreters of these instruments.

This album, produced by Continuo Classics & Cordes & Compagnies, opens a new collection, "Musica Angelica", dedicated to the "instruments of love".

Le Concerto d'Amour:
- Philippe Foulon (pardessus de viole d’amour, violoncelle d’amour)
- Jean-Pierre Nouhaud (violoncelle d’amour)
- Marie Nouhaud (violone d’amour)
- William Waters (theorbo)
