This CD is a celebration of brass band trombone playing featuring Brett Baker, Paul Woodward and colleagues from Black Dyke, presenting a wide range of music for all tastes.

The programme includes solo items with piano, duos and quartets in a dazzling range of styles. A number of the works performed are from the rich brass tradition of the Salvation Army, but there is also music by composers such as Mercadante, Telemann and the Finale from Saint SaŽnsí Organ Symphony, arranged for massed trombones which include trombonists from many of the northís leading brass bands.

This album is a real virtuoso treat with first class lyrical and espressivo playing from these fine musicians. Recorded in the concert hall of the Royal Northern College of Music.
