The Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No.3 was recorded on June 16 and 17, 1961, in Watford Town Hall, outside London, on both 35 mm magnetic film and half-inch 3-track tape, using free Telefunken 201 microphones. This LP was cut from Wilma Cozart Fine's 3-2 mixdown of first-generation 3-track 1/2" tape.
It is newly presented in 180g heavyweight vinyl pressings from Optimal and includes a voucher with a unique code to download the digital audio files (MP2) of the full album for free.
