About

Zygmunt Krauze began his ground-breaking exploration of installation art in the late 1960s, inspired by the inter-war painter Władysław Strzemiński.

In the original Fête Galante et Pastorale he combined six ensembles, including folk instruments, tape music and spatial aspects, when it was premiered across twenty six rooms at the Eggenburg Castle in Graz.

The music of Zygmunt Krauze has its own tradition, devised at the beginning of his musical journey, which he confronts with new emotions, experiences and ideas. The composer himself confirms that in his music there always appears a given motif or a group of motifs which he uses as building material.
