For a number of decades now, no other style of popular origin has provoked such an overwhelming infatuation than the tango, in its revolutionary version as defended by Astor Piazzolla, born in 1922 in Rio de la Plata, cradle of the Argentinian tango.

The classical arrangements by the near centenarian violoncellist José Bragato, old wayfarer of Piazzolla, as well as his own compositions, testify to a great stylistic mastery and amply give their due to the violoncello.
