A question that is often asked – “What is the essence of Polish music?” If a gauge of Polishness in music is a connection with Polish folk tradition then much repertoire is lost because of a lack of this link. This release on the Dux label is the very repertoire that falls into that category – written by Polish composers of the second half of the twentieth century. An important time, not only in the history of Poland, but in the development of their musical culture.
The CD features a glorious World Premiere Recording by Stanisław Moryto.
