This new recording by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra focuses on the much-loved film soundtracks from iconic movies such as Rear Window, The Lost Weekend, A Fistful Of Dollars, Shane, Key Largo, Walk On The Wild Side, Never On Sunday, Chinatown, Wuthering Heights and A Passage To India – many of which were multi-Academy Award winners.

With a huge 85-piece orchestra (including multiple harps and pianos), this disc is a celebration of an era when a film’s orchestral soundtrack was integral to its success.
