About

EMI’s exciting newsigning, Tine Thing Helseth, leads the all-female Norwegian Brass Ensemble, tenThing, in this unique and high-quality recording which promises to change the way people think about and experience brass ensembles.

tenThing was founded in the Spring of 2007 and is already highly regarded, both on a national and international level. The idea of forming a girls-only ten-piece brass ensemble was born from the fact that a very large share of the young, up-and-coming brass players in Norway at present are female.

tenThing enjoys a busy tour schedule with live performances which embody the ensemble’s sense of humour and genuine shared musical pleasure. Audiences invariably cannot help but become infected with the players’ enthusiasm.

As the group says on its own website, “tenThing desires, through a varied repertoire, to provide for great experiences of live music that the listeners will not easily forget”.
