About

These are pieces originally written by Haydn for violin, harpischord and orchestra or for strings. Here, however, they are played by the wonderful oboist Alexei Utkin and the Hermitage Chamber Orchestra.

This is the second volume in this series - the first having been extremely well received: ‘Here’s another delectable SACD from Caro Mitis—oboist Alexi Utkin playing music of Haydn, one of his favorite composers. Exquisite performances, beautifully recorded.” (Classical CD Review, June 2009)
