Wilhem Latchoumia was born in Lyon in 1974, and his musical education
was completed in his home town in 1999, with a unanimous ‘premier prix’
from the Lyon National Conservatory. Since then, his taste for
contemporary music has directed his career path, with repeated
competition successes, most recently winning the 2006 Orléans Piano
Competition with his performance of Pierre Jodlowsk’s ‘Série noire’,
included on this debut CD together with music by Cage, Nono, Jonathan
Harvey and Luc Ferrari.
