IDIS continues with the publication of the most important recordings made by Andrés Segovia in the 1950s.
This CD contains a rarity: the beautiful Prelude attributed to Sylvius Leopold Weiss, which Segovia recorded in 1958 with the harpsichordist Rafael Puyana - his single collaboration in the recording hall with another instrumentalist.
This CD features some of the most popular pieces of the famous Spanish guitarist’s repertoire, and comprises material recorded between 1952 and 1958, when the great guitarist was arguably at the apex of his musical prowess.
The disc includes some well-known and beloved works, such as Fernando Sor’s Studies and Enrique Granados’ Maya de Goya.
